Wine Review: 2011 King Estate Signature Pinot Noir

Screen Shot 2014-06-05 at 3.43.27 PMHaving tried King Estate’s Pinot Gris from an Underground Cellars deal, I decided that it was time to pick up one of their bottles of Pinot Noir at our local Wegmans. I always have a love-hate relationship with Pinot Noir. I love how smooth and delicate they are but I really like wines that will blow you away in mouthfeel and flavor. If there was any Pinot Noir to put to the test it would be the 2011 King Estate Signature Pinot Noir.

When you visit the website, you will notice that there are all kinds of Pinot Noirs but this is the one that will be sold to the general public. They state that there were 24,000 cases made so not so rare. The suggested retail price is $29 so not so cheap either. The wine was stainless steel fermented and oak aged for eight months.
